Issue Position: Bob Barr Supports Georgia Healthcare Freedom

Issue Position

I believe a campaign that allows the people to make their voices heard is truly the American way. "Let the Citizens Decide" is the campaign theme for Georgians for Healthcare Freedom and I could not agree more.

I support the goal of Georgians for Healthcare Freedom in proposing a resolution to the state Constitution so as to provide for the protection of the citizens of Georgia from overreach of the federal government beyond the bounds of the enumerated powers granted by the United States Constitution; to provide that no regulation shall compel any person or health care provider to participate in any healthcare system and to authorize persons and employers to pay directly for healthcare services without penalties or fines.

ObamaCare is a direct threat to families, small business job creators, and all hard working taxpayers. As your Member of Congress, I will support this effort to allow the people of Georgia to decide -- this is too important, the stakes too high, and the people have the right to determine their liberty.

Bob Barr has the experience to know when issues are best resolved at the state and local level and will support Healthcare Freedom.
